Photo taken at Birminham Uni in 1969. All mathematics undergraduates. Mostly just finishing year 1. Some year 2 and the chap in the middle ath front is Profeesor Kuttner (Pure Maths) I think.
Can you spot me?

How are we expected to spot you on a crummy old photo, are you sure the professor wasn't called Knutter!!
Well I agree it is a crummy old photo, but I think you must be the short one in the back row, or one at the front towards the right. So when are you going to give us a clue?
Thank you Janet - i did not know it worked like that. Double click on the photo and it is much clearer. The short chap in the bck row is my good friend Eric. Cannot remember third from left in front row. I think the chap with the fine moustache was Doug Nelson. I think he became a maths teacher and I have a vague memory of us both being interbiewed for the same job some year's later - neither of us got it if my memory is correct. Mike, Lloyd can you help with this?
I am at the left end of the middle row. I think I was wearing my school blazer - not wasting my grant on new clothes! Yes, we did get grants in those days and no tuition fees!
Now you know which I am note the hairstyle. Never changed so how did I get skin cancer behind my ear? Behind my ears are places 'where the sun does not shine'. Terry Pratchett fans will know that this is not the usual definition of the phrase.

.... but enlarge the photo and look at the moustache on the fourth from the left in the back row! Where did he end up?
